All these programmes implemented
by involvement of beneficiaries:
(A)Deepening of community wells
to ensure availability of drinking
water.
(B)Deepening of personal wells of
tribal cultivators to ensure irrigation
of their land and other purpose.
(C)Clearances of silt and mud from
existing tanks of Kherwara block
area to ensure storage of more water
in them.
(D)Constructions of Anicuts in Kherwara
block area.
(E)Constructions of community lift
schemes in blocks Kherwara and Sarada
by mobilising 80% Govt. funds.
(F)Awareness building in all four
tribal block Kherwara, Sarada, Jhadol
and Kotra including total TSP area.
(G)Formation of village level agencies
(Volags) in all four target block
which are about 300 at present.
(H)Run Campaign in 1992-94 regarding
73 constitutional amendment and
encouraged tribals to contest Panchayat
Raj elections in 1995. Big number
of tribal Women candidates fought
the elections and won against women
candidates of established politicians.
Actually this was a tremendous experience
for us. This success strengthen
tribes of the region morally and
build their self confidence. According
to ammend, all posts of PANCHAYATS
of TSP. area were reserved for tribes.
(I)Ensured forest dwellers involvement
in conservation of existing forests
and wild lives using new Govt. forest
policy JFM (Joint Forest Management)
in four blocks Kotra, Kherwara,
Jhadol and Sarada of Udaipur distt.
(J)Development of two ENVIRONMENTAL
education campuses in village Ray-Dungri
(Kherwara) and BHUNWALI (Dungarpur).
Local tribal are involve in care
of these centers and taking benefits
in the form of fodder and firewood
and herbs.
(K)Running 4 child labour Rehabilitates
centers in block JHADOL and KOTRA
in which 200 freed child labour
are getting education and skill
development trainings.
(L)Running on KATHODI residential
school at Kherwara in which 80 Kathodi
girls are taking education.
(M)Operated educational activities
in 23 villages in DAIYA cluster
of Jhadol block through Lok Jumbish
Project during 1994 to 2002.
