Kathodi Tribes Working for community well

Kathodi Development - II Phase
First Kathodi development scheme inspired new tribal commissioner Mr. S. Sethi, who again asked Mr. Zai (coordinator AVS.) to make an another development scheme for Kathodi community. So, AVS again prepared a development plan coasted 365 lacs. This plan approved by Govt. of India but this project will be implemented by Govt. NGO SWACH in supervision of AVS as per condition of Mr. Zai in year 2005, 100 lacs has been received from govt. and constriction of 100 houses is in progress. Again AVS got success in mobilising Govt. funds for the welfare of a community who in still living in STONE AGE.

CONCLUSION: In perspective of above history and socio-economic condition, we can mentioned their priorities on behalf of their views and sentiments as follows:-
(A) Housing- As per their culture and tradition, they need small houses with roof of earthen tiles having iron doors and windows.
(B) Health CARE- Require health care facilities.
(C) RESIDENTIAL SCHOOLS- Education is now in their priority but needed residential due to migration practices. There are only two hostel of capacity of 105 children, which are not sufficient.
(D) LAND DEVELOPMENT- Land is uneven and rocky needed leveling and nalabunding.
(E) PLOUGHING FACILITIES- They needed bullocks and tractors because they have nothing for this requirement.
(F) SEED & FERTILIZER- They always needed these proper time of crop.
(G) IRRIGATION FACILITIES- Needed open wells, lift schemes, electric/diesel pumps facilities to irrigate their fields.
(H) SKILL DEVELOPMENT & REHABILATION- They require training in following trades –
• MASONRY (CONSTRUCTION)
• SPINNING- WEAVING INCLUDING CARPET WEVING.
• REED FURNITURE MAKING.
• BUMBOO WORK
• HERBAL GARDENING
(I) FISHING- There is big potential and good scope in fishing work, because they are fisher from birth. Male and female, both are naturally skilled in fish trade but needed technical training and other necessary facilities and equipments including tanks on lease.
