Main problems and issues
of Tribal Sub Plan
As a fact there are innumberable
problems in the region but the roots
of these problems are un awareness
and disunity including lack of peoples
genuine organisations. The political
leaders, people exploit the common
man due to above mentioned weaknesses.
Due to these weaknesses of the common
people, the anti social elements
exploit them and indulge them in
castism, communilism and regionalism.
Hence all the problems including
under mentioned problems are required
to view and review in the same perspective.
1.Low literacy, specially among
tribal women which is less then
1% in some tribal blocks like Kotra.
2.Social drawbacks like death feast,
bride price, wine drinking, revenging
tradition.
3.Backwardness including blind faiths,
fatalism, untouchability and communalism.
4.In adequate employment opportunities
in the region which resulted migration.
5.Agricultural dependency on rain
falls due to lack of irrigation
resources.
6.Forest land encroachments and
deforestation practices.
7.Red tapism and corruption in all
Govt. departments including Panchayati
Raj.
8.Low productivity of ag. Land and
milky cattle due to use of old traditional
systems.
9.In efficient and corrupt local
leadership.
10.Low and ineffective health care
and drinking water facilities.
11.In adequate education, electricity,
transport, childcare, communication
and animal care facilities.
12.In adequate rehabilitation structure
for child labour.
13.Lack of aged, handicapped, widows
and local traders regarding financial
needs.
14.Greater dependency of money landers
and local traders regarding financial
needs.
15.Impractical forest laws regarding
collection of tendu leaves and minor
forest produces.
16.Complete lacking of hygienic
system and sanitation facilities.
17.Low wages specially during famine
relief period.
18.Partial selection of an eligible
poor families in BPL or in other
relief and welfare schemes. Only
BPL families are eligible to get
any Govt. benefits.
19.Lack of labour organisations
(unions) in un organised sector
like mining, agriculture farms,
construction projects, forest works,
business centres and hotels etc.
20.Lack of environment of population
control and immunisation.
21.Lack of cooperatives and banking
facilities which badly affect economical
status of villagers.
22.Encroachment trends on the land
of general public interests including
pasture land due to loose and corrupt
administration.
